cream en creamy

Cream En Creamy is the new ice cream parlour near my house, the ambience inside is really amazing, they have a few comfortable couches and a flat lcd tv..their menu card is impressive with a wide range of ice creams and shakes...my personal favourite was an ice cream called 'fruit punch'.
The pricing is a bit on the higher side but the quality of the cream is well worth the cost...for all u folks in around t.nagar the place is worth a
visit, its in habibulla road and near karnataka sanga school.

Indias poor show

It was so disheartening to see the indians loose against a mediocre west indian team, its true that some of the key players are missing...but i think indias bench strength is way better than the current west indian team...its just a matter of making use of their talent and keeping their head on their shoulders...lets hope that they pull their act together quickly

Food Review: Vrindavan(New woodlands)

Today is one of those days when everything looks dull amd uninteresting ,(read my previous post) my cousin "R...." came to the rescue..she was the only soul who had time for me today...she wanted to go to the New woodlands restaurant in radhakrishnan road..i was waitng for a reason to go out and this looked like my lucky break!,.so i gladly obliged .
We reached the place at around 8.30pm and we got a table only at 9pm!!..well its sunday and every restaurant in town would be filled upto the brim on sunday nights, inside the ambience was good..they had a neat set of tables and chairs, the lighting was kind of dull though.
I scanned through the menu card and found that they had a limited set of north indian and south indian items..there were other chinese and lebanese stuff..well only a fool would want to eat lebanese in an indian restaurant it would be something like lebindianese!!:p).I ordered my favourite sambhar vadai (thats my south indian alternative for soup!!) and for maincourse we ordered nan, palak panner ,kadai vegetable and veg pulav. The others went about ordering the usual south indian stuff like poori, onion rava ,masala dosai etc.We waited for a long time for the food to arrive, and the service wasnt upto the mark...for instance the masala papad was suppose to be a starter and it arrived well after people were done with their soup. The samabhar vadai which i ordered was rally good..so i was pretty happy (sambhar crazy me :D) generally all the south indian stuff was good in the hotel..the sambhar was good but the chutney was bad..infact it even tasted like it was stale..that was a big let down..and even the variety was missing in the chutney department..there was only a basic coconut chutney(thengai chutney!!)..usually when u pay abt 60 rs for a dosai u expect atleast 5 different chutneys..but it was not to be so..and the north indian dishes werer all satisfactory(no so great)..the palak panner wasnt upto the mark but the kadai veg was decent, the bread became rubber like in a matter of minutes..so that again was a big negative..the rice was tasting good.
The only thing which came immediately when we asked was the bill :P!!,
over all..its a decent place for south indian food..but i would never recommend this hotel for anyone..for the price charged the quality is desperately found wanting...there are other good restaurants in town..please stay away from this one.

The Dull Moments in Life

Iam stittng before the monitor trying to kill time....there are a few days in which one would be so extremely busy not having time for even the basic things in life..there would be other days like today for example ,where u would be wondering what to do because there is nothing to do basically....there are days when ur entire family, friends every single person u know off would want to go out with u or would want ur opinion on something or the other... there would be days like today when not even a soul is interested in talking to you because everyones got something or the other tied to their necks....guess its just one of those boring days

From school bag to six pack!!

Before After

When ever i look at myself in the mirror, the first thing which i ask myself is 'have i become fat??'...its kind of weird because there was a period in my life were i never cared abt my weight..that was the time when i was abt 75kgs..and looked like a walking milk truck :)...well after the 7 month training period in infy i reduced almost 10 kgs and came down to 65....it was largely due to lack of good food(or rather food of my choice...people who liked chicken usually had a ball during the lunch hours !!) and lots of walking(anybody who trained in mysore infy would know how much walking we had to do in a day :)).
Now in just a matter of 4 weeks in chennai..ive put on 5 kgs..i was terrified when i last got on the weighing machine...i guess once u reduce so much..its really heart breaking to see the needle of the weighing machine swing to the 'you are fat' end of the display!..thus 'enter my new hobby "Body building" ':P .
Ive started going to the gym and in the past 2 weeks ive done quite a lot( though i dont see a big differrence when i look into the mirror) of exercise.
I walk into the gym like a 21 year old and walk out like 65 year old!!!!..guess my muscles have rusted so much that excersise removes every cc of oxygen from it,but better late then never i guess..hopefully inba few more days..everything will become fine and my body will start to behave normally again

Adventures at CCD!!!

Cafe Coffee Day
I am not coffee crazy..i am the sort of a guy who needs a coffee per day and not more than that...its amazing how "a coffee a day can keep the head ache away"!!..well atleast in my case its cent percent true.
CCD has been a life saver during the training days at infy...i was never 'Mr Perfect' the guy who would complete all his work in time and still had lots of time to enjoy..well it was the other way around for me..i had to slog day in and day out during training and sometimes wouldnt even have time for a regular dinner ...at 12 in the night the only place which would be open in the campus was CCD..and i used to just love their 'Spinach and corn sandwitch'...its largely due to these sandwitches that i manage to survive that phase in infy!!.
My affair with CCD also thought me another thing..tolerance to stale food!!!!..i know it sounds kind of gross..but the CCD inventory was filled once in 2 days depending upon the sale on that day...so if nobody had bought any sandwitches..and ur luck faield u that day..u would probably get a sandwitch which would be a day and a half old..so if u convert a day and a half in "human years" into "sandwitch years"..its like an year old sandwitch :P.The guy serving would tactfully microwave the sandwitch for u..so that u wouldnt get any smell from it...but this dint last for long..once the heat was gone the sandwitch would emit a pungent smell..well,. which would make it very hard to eat,to say the least.
A soldier has to march on ,what ever the conditions maybe(besides there was no food for atleast 8 more hrs) so i would simply gobble up my sandwitch and proceed to continue woth more slogging.
Iam Gratefull for those sandwitches and Black Current Shake..they kept me alive and gave me enough strength to keep going..ill just end this with a 1 liner about ccd sandwitches...
even though stale they never made me pale!!

A Trip To The Dentist

On The Dreaded Chair!! :(

It was snowing in chennai that day..the temperature was about minus six degrees..i was wearing a fur coat and a muffler...god i hate it when its winter in chennai :P,oww well enough of sarcasm i guess,so as u know it was another super hot day in chennai..a day when u can make maggie in seconds just by taking it outside(2 minutes and u will melt the noodles!!!)..so to sum up u can say that it was a normal day in chennai!!!.
My mom had a few problems with her teeth so she wanted to meet the dentist,as i havent visited the dentist in the last 21.5 years(the first 6 months of my life dont count as i had no teeth then 0-0) i decided to pay a little visit myself..so i told my mom that i would take the day off and accompany her(technically u can call it a day off as we still have to swipe in and swipe out!!!)..since my dad was the only one left in the family he also wanted to join us..so it was like basically a small family tour to the dentist, oww and i forgot to mention one more thing the dentist is also my cousin sister!!!!...so it was a sort of family reunion in a dental clinic or what ever u can call it :P.
My cousin is actually a professor in a super hot dental college..u might be confused of the tag "super hot" for a dental college..its funny because the moment i entered the place i was begining to think ' why dint i study B.D.S in this college' well the reason being the women there :P...it was like god had created so many beautiful women with one goal..to pull out teeth from a man's mouth!!!! :P ...so if u can maggie in seconds outside u can make it in nano seconds inside ! :D.
So the first question which i asked my cousin was what was the fee structure in the skool and bingo! i got the answer to my question..."The mystery of the 'swarming beauties' " had been solved!!!..the fee was like 15 lakhs for 3 years!!!,"elementary my dear watson" only rich chicks can afford so much...and in india its always the doctors, politicians or film actors who are rich enough to pay so much and obviously daughters of good looking parents would also be good looking :) well atleast most of the time :D...so it was time for me to get along with what i had come for..to get my teeth checked..so one look at my teeth andmy cousin asked me to go for scaling(which is basically cleansing the teeth!) and then she said i have 3 cavities which have to be filled!!!,well personaly i wasnt expecting the second half...so a bit of nerves there :(.I was first taken to a 'hygienist ' who just does scaling the whole day..well iam not being biased or anything but cleaning teeth the whole day for 365 days or in some cases 366 days dosnt sound like a great job to me!!!..(no offence),but she did a prime job on my teeth(god bless all the hygienists for their noble work!!) and the best part was i dint feel a thing..so after the process she asked me to brush my teeth properly every day or visit her once in 6 months..well think of it ,the later half sounds good..but i really dont think even she can help if i dont brush my teeth for 6 months straight :D,she would probably faint when i open my mouth :P..so after that it was my cousins turn on my teeth..and like an artist working on his canvas she set about on my teeth with atmost concentration and dedication..it wasnt as painfull as i thought it would be...even though a few times she actually hit my gums with the driller like thing instead of the teeth :)..it was okay bearable pain..oww and one thing which i forgot to mention was both my cousin and the hygienist were asking me questions when they were working on my teeth!!..well i had a truck load of cotton in my mouth not to mention a high powered vaccum tube to suck out water and then a machine which sprayed water at the rate of knotts on my teeth!!!! so u can imagine it was impossible to make even a sound which even remotely sounded like a 'yes' or a 'no',but the questions kept coming and i tried my best to answer .with what ever little space i had left in my mouth :)..well thats just a dentist's way of diverting their patients mind i guess :).On the whole it was a good experience solely because of my cousin who was so patient and carefull in handling my teeth...and i think i would pay a visit to that college again after 6 months..no worries i would brush my teeth twice a day :),this is for another reason..a reason which i have already mentioned above!!!!

The Making of an F-1 Champion!! :P

The Track

The Sun was shining brightly...infact it was staring down upon us trying to burn us alive..but nothing wass gonna ruin our day not even the sweltering heat....this is the day for which every trainee in infosys would dream off..the day in which u dont have to think about studying anymore!!(though we still have to complete our certifications every year!!),yes we had our last set of tests on that day and all he we had to do was while away the remaining time before we got posted!!.We wanted to do something exciting on the day..well according to me there are only 2 things in the world which can excite a man..one is a very hot girl!! :P and the other " SPEED"....its amazing how there are so many resemblences between both of these 'things',both have the capacity to kill u in a jiffy :),go to quickly in a relationship and ur girl friend would want to break up..go to quickly on a bike and u might end up breaking ur bones..so coming back to the topic ,we wanted some thrill that day..so we decided to go karting!!!..well trust me thats the most exciting thing u get to do in mysore (so i think it deserves all the hype i created)..so 4 ' Road hogs' me ,abdul, dinesh and rajaraman decided to burn some rubber that day :P( i meant the car tyres for all the perverts reading this :P).We got to the place at around 4 and we started on the track at around 4.30..it was like 4 streaks of lightning on the track...we where vrrroooming at speed of 30 kmph :P..beleive me on those rickety carts which they had..it was like riding a jet through ranganathan street :P....even though it was my first time on the track i had this strange thing running in my head..it was like everything was in slow motion and i had so much time in negotiating the bends and curves!!....so naturally with such a gift u would expect me to come first.. but iam like mr Incredible..so i dint want to show of my super powers..and so i let the others win :P' ....i came last and let dinesh win...thats just me i guess i like to see others win and watch their happiness rather than enjoying my own victory..well the important thing was we had an ossom time clicking away mad and random pictures and zooming around that concrete track at 30 kmph...wish i could rewind and go back to that day...

A NOSE IS A NOSE IS A NOSE (contd)

id like to appologise for leaving my last blog unfinished..its rather because of my lack of experience in blogspot. Why should a girl pierce her nose, thats the question for which i promised an answer, well most of us think that the ornament is worn just to beautify the appearence of a girl..this is partly true but there are a lot of other reasons as well, its beleived that the mokuthi helps in controlling a girls senses..especialy lust,so if a man tries to seduce a girl, she stands a greater chance of not falling for him if she wears a nose ring..hard to belive but its true..ill quote an example from ramayana..can u recollect the incident in ramayana where lakshman chops soorpanahai's nose, have u guys wondered why of all parts in the body he chose to chop her nose..well its beleived that a womes sense of smell attracts her to a man..or it increases the chances of she falling for that man,so by chopping her nose off, lakshmana has denied her the chance to think abt anymore men..fascinating isnt it..so the mokuthi is worn to 'purify 'the carbon inhaled from the air...which gives a woman a better chance of judging a man.I have mentioned in my previous blog that girls are generally forced to pierce their nose just before getting married..its beleived that a girl who has her nose pierced would be more attractive to a man ,its also beleived that girls derrive more pleasue during a sexual encounter if they are wearing a mokuthi.

Amazing isnt it.iam sure most of u guys would have never thought about all this..if u dont beleive me pls go ahead and check this link for more information..http://searchwarp.com/swa108472.htm

A NOSE IS A NOSE IS A NOSE !!

Okay this is gonna be my first post..lets hope that i turn out to be a good blogger! !.

I come from an orthodox iyer family and in my family its mandatory for girls to pierce their nose!!..well even though it sounds kind of cool, its really painfull!!,its really amazing how times have changed,in the 90's piercing the nose was suppose to be orthodox and old fashioned..but now with the trend of body piercing it sounds so cool to tell people that their gonna get their nose pierced ...well coming back to the subject of nose rings..well traditionaly we call it "mookuthi" which can roughly be translated as 'nose ring',its mandatory for an iyer woman to get her nose pierced, usually girls do it a month or two before they get married..but generally its done after a girl blossoms into a woman.Okay so iam sure most of you who are reading this blog right now are thinking "why is this guy telling stuff which i already know" well let me give u guys something to think about..have any of u thought "y the hell do girls have to go through this bloody ordeal even though most of them dont like doing it" well this is ur lucky day..becaue the answer is coming right up

in my next blog that is..so until then stay hooked to my blog
